Brandon Woodard 31,with his daughter, was a law student , coming to New York City on a one day trip. The cold-blooded Midtown murder of a Californian facing cocaine charges was possibly drug-related — and the murder weapon was used to shoot up a Queens home three years ago.

A police source told the Daily News that investigators suspected drugs were the motive in Monday’s bloody point-blank assassination of Brandon Woodard, 31, near Columbus Circle.

Detectives were questioning informants and criminals in Queens, where two men escaped in 2009 after pumping a dozen bullets into a Mangin Ave. home in St. Albans with the same gun.

“They never caught anyone involved with the shooting here,” said Yvette Brown, who lives at the home. “There are still bullet holes in the house.”

While the killer stalked Woodard from behind, it appeared the victim and gunman were strangers. The victim turned and caught a glimpse of the hitman on W. 58th St. — but didn’t react as if he recognized the man.

Seconds later, a video camera captured the shooter in the black hoodie coolly firing a single bullet from his .9mm semi-automatic weapon into the back of Woodard’s head.
